Not everyone can tolerate the GLP-1 drugs. Some people have severe abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting that makes staying on them just miserable. And some people would prefer to just not stay on this medication forever, the long-term safety profile on weight loss surgery is more extensive and known than it is on the continued use of these GLP-1 drugs. There are also *possible* links to bone loss and increased risk of thyroid cancer. [/quote]
