That's how Patriot Act got passed as well.  Most of them didn't read it.  Now we get groped at airports and are seen as possible terrorists without cause.

Anyway, I like Obamacare, only because I know how much of a sausage grinder it was to pass even that much (my preference is for nationalized medicare.  health care should not have profit motive, just like utility companies and criminal justice system, aka for-profit-prisons).

BTW, the only part of that penalty/tax is for the uninsured.  Not really the demographic Republicans care about (unless they only care about uninsured millionaires who get penalized).  Unless I'm missing something?[/quote]

You are wrong , medical devices now have a 3% tax and consumers will have to pay for it because business won't lose in their profits. Also note that tax deductions and fsa have been reduced[/quote]

Yeah, and as a result, medical costs will come down. No more buying needless Rx sunglasses in March to spend down an FSA.[/quote]
