It is definitely isolated but most students embrace that aspect of the school. I knew I would live my life around a metropolitan area so this was a finite period of time during which I could enjoy the solace that comes with living in the middle of nowhere! Because of this, relationships become the focus of the college experience--relationships with peers and with faculty. Re: curriculum. I am old enough so that I did have to meet certain distribution requirements. They have since created a much broader curriculum that allows much more freedom for students. My advisor was helpful back then so my guess is that current students rely even more heavily on the advisor's guidance in choosing classes. There are two main changes since I was a Hamilton student: they have since abolished frats and they have spent a ton of $ on buildings, some new and some old beautiful frat houses that have been renovated to be dorms and administrative bldgs. Ask any other questions!
