I know many people say that no matter what diet you follow at the end of the day it’s about a calorie deficit. Curious if this holds true for a diet like Keto. I have lost some weight from calorie counting but stalled out and decided to switch to Keto because I don’t want to cut calories any further. But the foods you eat on Keto are really high calorie so I really can’t do it and stick to my 1300 cals at a time. Between using butter and olive oil for each meal that would burn through the calories alone. Will I see success if I am eating more calories but not carbs, sugar, etc?
You will see success if you go into ketosis. You will also see success if your blood glucose remains stable. That’s really what you need to track. Get a ketosis and glucose monitor such as Keto Mojo and test yourself periodically and prove this to yourself.
