My kid has all of that plus a huge AP Gov textbook and an instrument. We are wondering the same thing. He said kids are lugging everything around all day long.  Everything doesn’t fit in one backpack so he moved a Chromebook, calculator and lunch in another smaller backpack. [/quote]

We didn't get an AP gov textbook.  Can you leave the instrument at school?  Our kid got a small locker in the band room.  We just have two sets of instruments for school.  We clip the lunch box to the backpack.  I hate the MCPS chromebooks.  They aren't bad but they are much heavier than others.[/quote]
