GREAT idea let give healthcare over site and enforcement to these guys, i mean what could go wrong? http://money.cnn.com/2012/07/09/news/economy/overpaid-unemployment-benefits/index.htm?iid=HP_LN
You mean the states, the ones who actually do this?
The IRS description was a reference to a provision in the Affordable Care Act that requires Americans not insured by their employers or Medicaid to buy health insurance or pay an annual penalty when filing their tax returns. The provision, known more broadly as the individual mandate, was the subject of a multi-state lawsuit, but was recently upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court. http://www.onlinesentinel.com/news/Governor-says-IRS-new-gestapo-in-radio-address.html
Not sure what you are talking about, because the earlier link was discussing unemployment benefits, which are dispensed by state agencies. So the failure to administer it correctly is theirs. But in the case of the ACA, the IRS' sole authority is to fine those without insurance. They don't actually administer health care. The worst error they could make is to not fine someone who should have been fined.
