Yes, screen use disorder or addiction is both symptom and cause of somet things, but mostly coping poorly. ADHD, Depression Anxiety. BPD dismissed, possibility of Borderline II, but that also doesnt fit. Some self harm and one attempt. We all (including DD) think BPD is the big one which is why she is with a good therapist now. SHOCKINGLY, she actually took the news that the phone is going away as well pretty well. Of course, my delivery helped, slow and deliberate laying out her progress and asking her to share what she felt about the internet and her screen use. The benefit of that was that she clearly knows she has a problem.[/quote]
