Yea I look down on people who live “near Loudoun County” for sure.  Especially when they justify it by saying they do it for the low crime rate.  That’s like saying you aren’t sending your kids to UVA because you want them to have the out of state experience when we all know the real reason.  [/quote]

It’s nice to not be under constant threat of car break ins and other rampant property crime like I see in the Arlington threads. But when did I say I moved here specifically FOR the low crime rate? Wasn’t even a factor, it was mainly to be close to my tech job out here in the Reston/Herndon area (and lower house prices, I was making about half what I make now back then). I’m just now noticing after I bought a house out here a few years ago how everyone near DC is complaining of crime and I’m feeling thankful that it’s not my problem [/quote]
