What type of classes did you put in her IEP for placement last year? Gen Ed, team taught, self contained? There are no teams in high school. Your child gets teachers based on the courses they registered for. If team taught or self contained, that is why they are sped teachers. If you intended her to be in gen Ed, there is a mistake and you need to reach out to the counselor to get a class change (and I would CC her case manager on the email). Not all classes are sped though, right? PE, electives won’t be, unless strats is an elective. Home room/advisory will be because (at my school at least) all IEP students are assigned their case manager for advisory for extra support. How did she get her schedule so early? As a teacher I can’t even see my rosters yet.
I'm confused. Do FCPS high schools have team taught classes?
They did when my DS was in high school--a few years ago. He was in a team taught freshman science class. He was not in special education nor did he have an IEP.
