Forgot to add no do not call an IEP meeting. Just find out if it’s general Ed. Team taught is not a big deal and it makes it more possible to accommodate.

There are team taught classes.
There are not teams, a la middle school, where a science, math, English, and SS teacher all have the same batch of kids and have weekly meetings to discuss students.

If they are team taught classes, then not all of the kids in the class will have IEPs. There will be one general ed teacher and one SPED teacher in the class. The SPED teacher will be listed on the schedule of the kids with IEPs, but in our experience, the gen ed teacher is the "lead" in the classroom.

My daughter has an IEP for dyslexia and is in two honors classes and two team taught- for the team taught the sped teacher is listed on her schedule. I think only 6-8 kids in the class have an IEP and rest do not do it is a “regular” class

OP, as hard as it is .. I would wait and see how it plays out.

Have you studied the courses for high school. If she takes Algebra 2 in 12th grade, for example, have you worked backwards to know what she would take in 11th, 10th, this year.

Mostly important ~ if she overall schedule is not too hard, she's not as likely to need a separate, SPED education. She can still go to college without talking honors, AP classes, or very advanced math. She can go to college somewhere.

My DS, who is not in SPED, was in team taught GenEd classes within the past 2 years. They were for Math.

They did when my DS was in high school--a few years ago. He was in a team taught freshman science class. He was not in special education nor did he have an IEP.

FCPS had an IT glitch yesterday and released the teachers names onto TalkingPoints. They are trying to fix it because it’s not finalized but essentially it’s finalized.

How many hours of specialized instruction does she have? Are they listed as inside or outside general education? If she has minimal hours outside general education, she should not be in designated special ed classes.

It's possible that she's in team-taught classes and she's just on the SpEd teacher's roster.

DD is a rising 9th grader. She has an IEP under other health impairment for ADHD and anxiety. She has 3 goals for executive functioning, 1 goal for study habits (turning assignments on time, etc.), and 1 goal for math. All the teachers listed on her schedule are special education teachers. Big meltdown today about this, "none of my friends are SPED". In middle school, most students with an IEP were placed on team that was primarily special education students. She/we were told this would not be the case for high school. No behavioral issues in school although we did have some days of school refusal due to anxiety. With the type of IEP goals, I don't see why she could not receive supports for those executive functioning deficits in general education classes. Can I request an IEP meeting before school starts?
