I'm the PP. So I'm a bit of a shoe person. I probably have close to 300 pairs (I worked at a shoe store for a long time). I wear each so rarely that I don't find that they smell. I put odor controlling bags of charcoal in my closet though. Everyday shoes I keep in my mudroom but I live in Seattle and spend 9 months a year in rain boots.

These are the better containers my husband uses. I want to upgrade to these but you can imagine that will get expensive and I can't really justify it.

NP here, I splurged on these during pandemic closet organizing, love them! I think I waited until they were on sale or maybe bought them with my special birthday coupon after signing up for it either savings or whatever.[/quote]

These are really nice!  I wish I had the space for them. My shoes are in pull out Elfa shoe racks. Easy access but they do get dusty over time. [/quote]
