We are in PMSL and in the division with WA. From my understanding WA was the only team in the entire league who offered to host All Stars at the league meeting in April. It is a huge undertaking. We haven't hosted All Stars, but have hosted 2x Divisionals and it was a TON of work. Parking was ok. DD didn't swim, but we went to support the team and got there at 8:30 just as the meet was starting. We parked on the street about .2 miles away with no issue. We have been in PMSL for 10y and have been to many pools in the area. I can only think of one pool that has good natural shade for spectators (PG Pool.) Most pools don't have shade nearby to keep the debris out of the pool/deck area. We always use a tent.
All great points. I can’t imagine most pools would have parking lots that could accommodate such a big event. That would seem wasteful of land. This was my first season doing a swim team and could see how hosting such a big meet would require a tremendous amount of work. Very appreciative to the WA families and volunteers who made the all-star event happen.
