You have to compromise somewhere. For some ppl, they buy fixer uppers/smaller/older in their desired location. For some they buy further out to get the house they want. We did the former and renovated after a few years. [/quote] Even for a teardown, builders will pay more than 700k for any lot that doesn't front a major road.
