I wonder if time board timer is just the timer responsible for changing the numbers on the board ? I’ve never seen it listed as a separate job, but when I have timed there are usually three separate jobs: one person write the times on the time card, one verifies the swimmer’s name , and one changes the time board.  Depending on the setup, it might be better if the time board person is somewhat tall or it can get uncomfortable. [/quote]

I’d agree it’s the person who puts up the time on the board(s). We have this job at our pool for 8 and under events because the boards are on the opposite end of the pool from their finish. A runner brings the cards to the volunteer who puts up the times. At pools where they allow the 25 m events to dive from the shallow end you don’t need this as the lane timers can do it themselves.
