If you are already in RMSC the coaches evaluate throughout the season whether or not someone should move up a group. If you are a swimmer with another club looking to transfer to RMSC, they generally have you join a practice rather than go through the large summer tryout. This year we were explicitly told not to attend tryouts.[/quote] Yeah, if you’ve been with RMSC all year, it is highly unlikely that the one time tryout in the summer is going to make any difference. You either have the times and ability to make the higher group or you don’t, that tryout with the times of other kids trying to join the club isn’t going to provide anything of value to the coaches.
