I recently signed up with Audible since I already have an Amazon account. I thought that would be useful for listening to some books while I do chores around the house. I’m finding it super annoying I can’t just buy a book and listen to it I have to have credits and it doesn’t explain how to get the credits and basically I am hating it and want to cancel it. Can someone either explain to me how the heck to make audible more user-friendly (explain like I’m five) or perhaps recommend a different app where you can easily just purchase any book that you want and hear it? Thank you!
Audible may have different plans, but the one I have charges a monthly fee that gives me one credit per month. Most if not all of Audible's audiobooks cost one credit and also have a dollar value, so you can buy more whenever you want. I only use Audible for audiobooks I can't get through my libraries. Unfortunately there are more and more of those now that the Recorded Books and Overdrive apps are both gone. Libby is the only game in town now, at least for my libraries. I used to use Hoopla too, but now it seems to be for music and video only, no books. :(
