My guess[/quote] I would also think it means adjusted for the age of the population. So, for example, if your zip code is a college campus, it's going to have a lower death rate than a neighborhood full or retirees in Florida. So, before you conclude that Florida is dangerous because a lot of people die, you need to look at the average age of Floridians. [/quote]
