Yesterday my family (Dh, two teen sons, and I) went out to eat. We were seated at a booth right next to the bussing station. So Dh and I were seated on one side, two sons seated across from us, and the bussing station was right behind our booth (behind my sons.) It was fine-all we really saw was the side of the cabinet, until after our appetizers a server (not ours) came and placed a spray bottle and rag right on the edge--so basically a few inches from my sons' heads. It wasn't a pristine perfect new rag--it was very stained and grimy looking--at about 3 feet in front of me in my direct line of sight. I thought it was gross and complained to Dh. Dh thought "it isn't that bad in the scheme of things..." but after I complained a lot, he got up and moved the rag and spray bottle to a different part of the same bussing station, out of my view. A few minutes later, our food arrived, and Dh's order was wrong. Server took it back to the kitchen. Another server came up to the bussing station, made a noise that showed she was surprised to see the rag/spray bottle moved, and moved it back to the space that was in my direct line of sight (about 3 feet away from my face.) So Dh got up from the table to complain to the manager. I think he was mostly led to complain because his order was wrong (the server kind of gave him attitude when he pointed it out) and Dh really thought I was making too big a deal about the rag. What do you think? Isn't a dirty rag, in your direct line of sight, pretty gross to see while eating?
Can you calirfy? An Iphone is about 5 inches long. Are you saying that if your son placed one end of an iPhone to his head the other end would be touching the rag?
