Soak up that for a second; it's a freaking compliment, OP. But you're focusing on the jeans vs. leggings instead. He just said he had a preference, which is tantamount to saying "By the way, you look good in jeans." That's good too. Are you so in love with your leggings/yoga pants you really want to fret over that, instead of putting on some great jeans and inviting him to help you take them off later?
