Softball/Baseball (and wrestling) were huge where I grew up. Schools didn’t even have lacrosse, field hockey or volleyball teams. Softball & baseball fields were everywhere. I played from kindergarten until the summer before 3rd grade, which was when I was playing catch with my sister outside, the ball hit me in the nose & I fractured it. Had surgery to move it back into place. Tried to play the following season, but was simply too scared of the ball even with a face mask. I took up gymnastics, dance and later xc/track. Ball sports are not my thing![/quote]
