As an adult a girl at work in her 20s made a snide comment about dry hair when mine was very frizzy and dry (my hair is very curly) and Called it straw. She was another uppity girl who bragged she was from Spain. 
As an adult another girl who had issues made a snide remarks about small butts when I passed by.  
Now whenever a woman talks in front of me in a foreign language I assume she's saying something nasty

Generalization much? I'm sorry you had traumatic experiences as a young girl but isn't it paranoid behavior to assume that everyone speaking a foreign language is a bad person saying something nasty? There must be people who are good or neutral and people who might be bad but not interested enough in you to make any comments?[/quote]
