I have a coworker who is strictly observant and he eats vegetarian and fish/seafood items at otherwise non-halal establishments. The first poster might be conflating halal and kashrut (kosher). People who are strictly kosher would not eat even a vegetarian pizza at a non-kosher place. [/quote]
