When people say "SUVs," these days, 99% of the time, thy are referring to a crossover. OP, there's nothing to be nervous about. I would suggest you also look at a couple minivans, which are more practical, and in my opinion, easier to drive than SUVs (we have two SUVs and a minivan now). But I'm guessing your DH is opposed to minivans, so that's why he's pushing so hard for this. [/quote]
