The chances of a freshman getting a 5 on an AP exam are low, and a kid takes an AP class & fails the exam (below a 4 is essentially failing), that will kill their confidence. And they’re going to need confidence in grades 10-12. No college is going to penalize a kid for not taking APs in 9th.[/quote]
