Older one went to Hunters Woods, and then Carson for AAP. Younger one will do the same. Waples Mill has no local LIV. I think LIII is like an hour per week?
If Waples Mill is your base school, why wouldn't you send your kid to Franklin with his/her neighborhood friends? Franklin has had an outstanding AAP program for about ten years.
Because all their AAP friends and classmates since the 3rd grade have been with them at Hunters Woods and are going to Carson. I have one child at the Hunters Woods center and another in AAP at Waples Mill. The Waples kid only gets AAP time on Fridays, maybe an hour, with all the other 3rd grade AAP kids. But none of her friends were going to Hunters Woods and she is happier staying at WM. Honestly, it's just elementary school and they hardly have any homework ever - either of them. I supplement with workbooks off Amazon 15 minutes a night maybe 3 times a week and that seems to teach more than they are doing at school. At school all they do is prep for whatever SOL or iReady or whatever is next. Maybe there will be a difference once middle school starts? I don't have any experience with that yet.
