Prepping may work for an admissions test, but obviously it's not enough to sustain that level of work over the long term. If your kid has the appropriate aptitude for math and science, they'll get in just fine without prepping. If not, don't do them a disservice by forcing the issue. [/quote]

ITA. My parents never helped me with math homework or any homework. I always tested 99th percentile in all standardized tests.

I would often be annoyed at the students who struggled in honors and AP math. They probably should not have been in the class in the first place. The extra help may have worked in 2nd grade but not in junior high and high school.[/quote]
