Grades were due for MCPS submitted in Synergy by 3pm Friday 3/31. I don't know how extensions work, but teachers can fill out a form for a grade change when we get back to class. If you do not trust the teacher to do so, there is a formal process to appeal the grade. A form has to be filled out within 45 days of the end of the marking period. https://ww2.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/forms/detail.aspx?formID=1531&formNumber=355-27A&catID=1&subCatId=0 I am a long term sub for MCPS. I can tell you that my teacher, while an amazing human and incredible educator, left me with a bit of a grade mess. That said, Canvas kept eating my grades (sigh), and syncing to Syngery was hit or miss. I had to manually enter in so many grades to Synergy, even when I already put them in Canvas. And I cleared up some of the errors happening with the sync. For some of the less tech savvy teachers, this process is cumbersome. Give your teacher some grace, but be ready to appeal on April 11th to cover your butt. And do talk to the teacher about a grade change. You jist don't want to miss the 45 day window.
