I would guess that the area zoned for MacArthur is probably less than 8%, but even if it is that’s 8% black compared to a city that is 45% black and a school district that is 80% black at least. That is pretty lily white.[/quote] You are living in the past. DCPS is 56% black this year, per the OSSE enrollment audit, and 17% white. Yes, MacArthur is unlikely to replicate the citywide proportions. None of the neighborhood high schools do. But it’s not as disproportionate as you think.[/quote]
