They're awful people, no doubt. Also relevant, at one of the prior two events, the library received bomb threats and these trolls got the library director fired.

PP/OP. Part of my discomfort here is that, while there may be a good non-speech justification for cancelling the event—maybe there is, we don't know!—that's clearly not the primary justification for the activists. The criticism and self-congratulation is all about disagreement with (very offensive) speech.[/quote]
