I think it started that way (the school included it in their list of return-to-school "best practices" to limit the spread), but once it was in practice the teachers/admin realized that it keeps things calmer and they prefer it, which is why it didn't go away when they removed the other restrictions. The kids are tired of it, of course. I wish they would at least give them the opportunity to rotate the seating assignments a couple times a year.[/quote] Many teachers do rotate them?
