We tried our kid out of public mid-middle school and it turned out to be a multi-year plan. We were waitlisted year one and then got in year 2. There are just so few private spots that it's hard to move out of public in middle school and beyond. I know many families who tried multiple times (6th, 7th) and finally got out for 9th. These were kids with all the top grades, etc. It's not easy to get a spot. [/quote]
