I'm watching and really enjoying it. Most episodes end and I realize I'm still smiling. I wish there was a little less focus on weight. I'm also confused about what happened to Dr. Reed after the first season. It seems like they rewrote his characteristics from sexy confident British womanizer doctor to dweeby British office manager who overeats and has trouble getting a date. Did anyone else notice that or am I misremembering?
He goes back to being thin and attractive, but stays kind of dweebish. Of course, he was only “tv fat.” They dressed him in baggier clothing and added a bit of padding to his middle, while the rest of him looked exactly the same. Like how when a female character is supposed to be unattractive, so they hire an attractive actress, put glasses on her and give her a hairstyle that isn’t especially flattering…voila, “tv ugly.”
