I’m heavier than you and working to lose and stop the yo-yo. Two things have worked well for me so far in addition to upping my workouts: 1) doing intermittent fasting with a short window. I have coffee (splash of milk) in the AM, and eat between 1:00pm-7:00pm. It really eliminates after dinner snacking which was a big problem for me; and 2) trying to eat 50-90g protein a day. I’m not a huge meat eater so it’s challenging. I get close to goal by having a Fairlife protein milk at lunch (30g protein) plus x2 hard boiled eggs or a yogurt with PB2 (with some veggies and fruit typically). I try to eat white meat chicken or salmon at dinner. If it’s not something too healthy I try to do a smaller portion. It’s so basic and cliché that small habits will help make a bigger change. For me, because I have a lot to lose, I’m trying to pace myself, and remember that each meal is an opportunity to make a better choice, not each day, because it becomes so easy to just write off a day to “bad” eating if you splurge at breakfast and then give yourself permission to overeat the rest of the day (or at least that was a tendency of mine). Good luck! Lots of solidarity to you all!
