You justifiably want a person who sounds like they failed to yield and then misused their brakes. But the fact remains that your daughter struck a stationary object (sounds like too big a hurry and/or lack of care), and failed to anticipate another driver’s (mis)behavior.  Focusing on how you/your daughter have been wronged will get you nowhere. It’s much more productive for your daughter to identify her own part in these unfortunate events and work to develop better habits and skills. [/quote]
