if you already know the daily calorie deficit you need to start losing again, start tracking calories on an app, loseit or my fitness pal. Or something. If you’re not ready to lose yet, still track calories to confirm you’re only eating to maintain your current weight. If you need help finding your maintenance or deficit daily calories, do a search for Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) calculator. This can help you identify your caloric needs, and they usually have options for you to find your deficit for a .5 lb, or 1 lb per week lose.
This is what I would do - not the scorched earth. Whatever works for you/others may vary, but for me, I think it's best to live life in a way you can maintain and not feel deprived or resentful. Spike/lose/spike/lose/spike/lose sounds exhausting. Like rough waves at the beach. A lifetime of gentle waves sounds peaceful. Congrats on losing the weight in the first place, and I hope your reflux is controlled and you are feeling better.
