If you google KRA then you will see it’s a state assessment. There are yearly reports. It was first given in 2015 to all kindergarteners but soon changed to a sample of kids it seems. I don’t know how it’s given in MCPS— random sample?
At our MCPS school it's given to all K kids.
Correct - this year all kindergarteners in MD had to take it rather than a random sample from each class. I agree that it takes too much time during the first month of school when we're trying to get to know the kids and help them adjust to being in class all day. The data isn't used by staff to make any instructional decisions contrary to what the state might say.
