The executive does not appoint the planning board or make development decisions. If you think there’s too little or too much development,, take it up with the council.

What’s ironic is that if Hans Riemer won, these same YIMBYs would be saying the exact opposite.

The reality is that the MNCPPC was created to be unaccountable to serve narrow interests (initially segregation as you point out and current as a jobs program for land use lawyers and development consultants) and as a result it had spent its entire history perpetuating scandal after scandal. If there is anyone to blame for the sorry state of the MoCo economy, the buck stops at the MNCPPC.

Thank you!  If it's the sound plan they make it out to be, a little bit of adult supervision can't hurt.  What's are they hiding?  I'd invite anyone to take a look at their "YIMBY" Facebook groups...nothing could more bolster my argument than reading theirs firsthand.

In the meantime, I'll remain skeptical that the ability to build three rental units next door to me is an improvement to my neighborhood.  Seems that their big plan is to make affordable housing by regressing property values to the mean.  Triple the people, triple the cars, triple the school children, none of the sense of community that the previous SFH owners had.[/quote]
