If you get the X5, buy a certified pre-owned 2020 or newer. I just did a quick AutoTrader search and there are several options well within your budget, but you have to zoom out to a 100-mile radius.

I'd also test-drive the RX350, Acura MDX, maybe the Audi Q7, maybe the Volvo XC-90...and the sleeper of fun SUVs, the Mazda CX-9 (although next year it's being replaced by the new 6-cyl hybrid CX-90). The CX-9 was actually my second choice behind the X5. [/quote]
