At indoor, Scores don't matter. It gives the kids a chance to keep the rust off the sticks and hone their skills, develop chemistry/timing, etc. It is a short and narrow field, 8v8. Its 5v5 at both ends--it is not realistic to full field lacrosse. Four games going on at the same time. There are two teenagers/college-aged kids, at best-- are assigned to each field as scorekeepers. Remember that both are human and prone to making a mistake occasionally. Do you want to keep score to ensure perfect accuracy and do that job at probably 15 or 20 bucks an hour for 7-8 hours straight? Guessing probably not. No champion is crowned, or trophy awarded at the end of Indoor League. Take it for what the product is: a great opportunity to keep the sticks in their hands. . Goodness gracious... take a breath and relax. Happy Holidays, everyone!
I agree with mostly everything you’re saying, except for the accountability of the kids. They are being paid for their work and as a parent I paid for this league and asking their if their paid employees to pay a bit more attention to the games and a little less time on their phones, then guess I’m asking too much. It’s not a cheap league. Only parents are keeping their kids stats. I would just like a little more accountability. This is nothing new to the Saint James. This problem has persisted for years.
