See that’s a problem. It’s not free they are making a good amount of money, I would like some accountability. And that last comment is who cares about accountability when we have this nice field.
there are nice facilities in every metropolitan city in the country. Where boys and girls have access to turf fields the same James is this a shiny new field.

I imagine much of it comes down to what you’re looking to get out of the experience. If you want your kid to learn some stick skills in the off season, the fee is worth it regardless of scores. If you’re looking to give them something active with friends old or new that’s not screens, the fee is worth it. If you’re looking to measure a kid’s worth by scores, it’s not worth it, in which case you’re better off elsewhere or requesting full cost transparency before handing over the fees so you can assess if the incentives align with yours. All that said, definitely in favor of paying refs and scorekeepers a reasonable fee for the trouble.

I agree with mostly everything you’re saying, except for the accountability of the kids.
They are being paid for their work and as a parent I paid for this league and asking their if their paid employees to pay a bit more attention to the games and a little less time on their phones, then guess I’m asking too much.
It’s not a cheap league. Only parents are keeping their kids stats. I would just like a little more accountability. This is nothing new to the Saint James. This problem has persisted for years.
With what they are charging, each kid out there is paying roughly $30 per game (7 games/$200 per season). Maybe 30 kids in each game between 2 teams. That's a lot of cheddar. 4 games at a time brings in $3200-3600 per hour. Pay the kids and get it right.

As a coach we sign the book and they post what is in the book. Maybe you should do better keeping track of the score from the stands keyboard warrior!

I miss it when it was triple edge in Chantilly.
Pat was a jackwagon at times but the screwing he got from cya and the st James was raw.
Anyways, I think it was 7 last year but weather cut it down.
Depending on your kid’s age there are options around nova for pickup games.

The winter indoor season at St James starts this weekend.
Looks like the HS teams have seven games on the schedule.
Is this less than last year?
Seem to recall the season started in early December last year.
How many games do the HS teams get to play in the Goals league in Balto?
