B.  When you read past the headlines, did you determine that NC gay couples have identical legal rights?  Because it's pretty clear they don't.[/quote]

The state law gets to decide and if the advocacy groups want the same rights then come out and say it.  It has nothign to do with marriage it has to do with equal rights and I am all for that.  If a person who has a partner that is dying and only family can see them I think that is wrong but the definition of marriage in the state is what it is .  
The groups went about this this the right way at the beginning of the equal rights many years ago but they lost their focus and tried to shove it down the throats of all and it backfired in the more conservative areas.  [/quote]
