Well, you were right! I miss the written comments, which always seemed to be by far the most useful part of the report card for elementary. I do appreciate the inclusion of test scores, but that doesn’t make up for it.[/quote]

PP. There were... sort of comments, but they appeared to all be just generated by checking boxes (like the middle school report cards were last year - I don't have a child in middle school anymore so not sure if that's still the same). Like, "demonstrated strength or significant growth on these skills/standards: Ask and answer questions about details in a text." There was nothing freehand written, except very short summaries about what the kids are learning about in two of the classes.

Both my kids received what you described. Usually I don’t care, but they are also suddenly pulling 2s instead of 4s. :/[/quote]
