Hopefully Mark will drive them out of the county, and then move on to protesting other grocery stores and retailers. We won’t have true social justice until all profit-making enterprises are forced out of Montgomery. This is why I voted for Elrich. Because I want him to ruin this county.
Eh, come on, is Amazon really a neighbor any of us want?
They wouldn’t have put up a store otherwise. Do you really think Amazon’s store is going to treat its employees worse than Giant/Safeway/etc. do? This is sort of like people screaming about Walmart while shopping at Target...
Giant’s workers are unionized I thought and you don’t normally hear about them doing the crazy scheduling Amazon does.
Giant corporate HQ used to be in Bethesda but now is in Hyattsville. It’s interesting that they’re out there protesting Amazon Fresh but not Whole Foods. We can all fill in the dots as to why. It’s also interesting that Amazon has an affordable housing financing program that is has used to support housing at metro stations in PG County but not Montgomery. It’s just more idiotic liberal stuff.
