Thanks for sharing your experience[/quote] If you can swing the cost, I'd recommend the 540i. It has the classic BMW straight-six engine and makes a ton of power (and sounds awesome, too). The current iteration of this engine - the B58 - is an outstanding engine. Great performance and solid reliability -- as long as you are diligent about maintenance. I have driven BMWs with the 4-cylinder (that's the engine in the 530i) and the straight-six and there is really no comparison, IMO.[/quote]
