Has anyone upgraded the mattress in a pack and play? I know it’s not technically recommended but there are a number of them on the market and the current mattress that came with the pack and play doesn’t fit tightly inside the pack and play since it bunches in the middle. The bunching in the middle also seems uncomfortable for the baby. We have the baby in the pack and play next to the bed for now and will move into a crib closer to a year. Looks like there are lots of options, wondering if anyone had tried one.
Do you mean that the mattress won’t lie flat at all times or when you have the fitted sheet over it? If it’s when the fitted sheet is on, try cutting some of the elastic at the corners or use a sheet with looser elastic.
Thank. No, it’s act bunched/not fitting properly even without a sheet. We actually have two pack and plays and I noticed both are like this. So, there are gaps between the mattress edges and the pack and play. Also, the the mattress isn’t flat. Really wish we just bought a higher quality pack and play rather than the Gracos.
