What’s an SEIT?
It’s a special education itinerant teacher. They are specifically for CPSE/ preschool students. The SEIT will spend a certain amount of hours per week/day with a child who could benefit from dedicated attention to help them with things like transitions between activities, focusing on less desired tasks, facilitating appropriate social interactions with peers, etc. but I think it’s a service only available to preschoolers, and I’m wondering what if anything replaces that once they are in K
Are you planning on staying in private school or going to public? If public school, he'll continue to work with a special ed teacher as specified in his IEP (pull out or push in). If staying in private, New York has really different rules then jurisdictions in the DC area, so you won't get good information here.
