Looking for opinions - We are moving to the Chesterbrook neighborhood for next year, and my daughter will be in the 3rd grade AAP program. Trying to decide if she should go to the local program at Chesterbrook, where my other children will be (they are younger and less likely to be in the AAP), or send her to the center program at Haycock. Would love to hear anyone's advice. Also, the orientation at Haycock is on May 10th and I can't find any info about one at Chesterbrook (will have to call tomorrow). Is it possible that they have the orientation on the 10th and then you have to give a decision by the next day? It seems like a pretty crazy schedule. I know they have to start making class plans, but still... Thanks.
This is just a guess, but even if you say yes to the AAP center program and before the school year starts you decide that you want to send your child to the base school, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do that. I don't think the opposite is true though. So if you are unsure after you attend the orientation on the 10th, I'd just say yes to the center by the 11th, and if you change your mind later I doubt they'd try to force you to the center instead of your base school.
