So we worked with her and self-advocating for what she needed and that work fairly well through middle school and the COVID era.  But now she is having lots of difficulty in history and English (doing fine in precalc).  Her english teacher noted that sometimes it seems as if she isn't even fully comprehending things.

Please send any recommendations (even of places/people to avoid).  I do have appointments for her at the Chesapeake Center -- but not until February.

Plus, all this has taken a toll on her mental health.  We have been working with a therapist for nearly a year, but she has recommended an evaluation by a psychiatrist with experience treating adolescents -- all the referrals I have so far are not taking new patients.
 
Guidance, recommendations, suggestions, even relevant stray thoughts would be very much appreciated!
