Because he hated the "cute" costumes we got him, I think due to sensory issues and him hating any and all costume. We essentially need to put him in regular clothes and find a "costume" idea to go around it. We don't have time to go get another costume that he'll also likely hate. His hair is also blond and naturally mullet like right now, so Garth and Joe Dirt came to mind as "ideas" he could be just in his regular clothes. [/quote]

My now 8 year old has always hated costumes and dress up, so we have always gone the plain clothes route.  One year he was a farmer with jeans and a flannel shirt, one year he was a soccer player with his actual soccer jersey.  This year he is Calvin and his little brother (who loves costumes) is his Hobbes.

Don't overthink it.   Just let him enjoy the parts he enjoys.[/quote]
