Georgia Tech wouldn't leave the ACC for the Ivy League. Even the Big Ten has considered Georgia Tech for the Atlanta area media market & to break into the South for football recruiting. So with the Big Ten eyeing expansion, Georgia Tech would have zero interest in moving down to Ivy League athletics. Georgia Tech would move to the Big Ten or to the SEC if invited, but unlikely to be interested in the Ivy League.

I wonder which schools would be interested in joining the Ivy League. Williams College & Amherst College have US News rankings sewn up and probably have no desire to be overshadowed by Ivy League schools. Plus, LACs are not research schools so Ivy League membership does not make sense from an academic viewpoint. Would have to be a lost, lonely National University in search of higher visibility and snappier marketing. (MIT, CMU, JHU, WashUStL, Emory, Rice, Tufts, Wake Forest if the ACC dissolves, College of William & Mary, & Patriot League schools.)[/quote]
